Why give?
“All things come from you Lord, and of your own have we given you." 1 Chronicles 29:14
As followers of Jesus, we give financially for the work of the Kingdom of God and the proclamation of the Gospel. Our generosity toward others and Christ’s Church is an act of gratitude for the gifts God has already given to us through Jesus as well as a recognition of his Lordship over all things. We give not because we owe God anything, but because every good thing we have is his already.
